Pete Davidson is giving a realistic look into his first paycheck on Saturday Night Live.

On Dec. 4, the 31-year-old comedian got candid about his compensation on the iconic sketch show alongside his fellow alums in an Instagram video posted by New York Magazine.

When asked what his “biggest indulgence” was when he received his first paycheck, Davidson cheekily replied: “Do you guys know what they pay us? It’s like three grand an episode, so I think I got dinner!”

Jason Sudeikis also got honest about his salary as a new writer on SNL. During his run on the long-running show, the Ted Lasso star served as a cast member for nine years and worked as a writer for two years.

“I mean you don’t really make enough money to make big purchases,” he added. “So, I think New York rent was probably the biggest purchase I made after writing on SNL the first year.”

It also turns out that many SNL cast members used their first paychecks to buy furniture. Elsewhere in the clip, multiple stars, including James Austin Johnson, Sarah Sherman and Cheri Oteri, revealed that they spent the cash on improving their home decor.

“A couch,” Oteri said. “I have gotten it reupholstered three or four times. I remember a designer coming over in tears and he goes, ‘Oh, those arms are too high. We’re going to get rid of that couch.’ I said, ‘Oh no. No, you’re not. Not today, Satan!'”

While other cast members spent their money on more practical items, Julia Louis Dreyfus and Bowen Yang used their checks for more luxurious things.

“I bought a pair of shoes that were out of my budget,” Dreyfus laughed. “I’ve got to tell you, I think they were $75.”

Yang also admitted, “Going to Saks across the street buying a pair of Gucci shoes. The kind that everyone got, and the kind that I wouldn’t feel super cool wearing out now.”

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and can be streamed the next day on Peacock.
