Khloe Kardashian Shares Update on Her Dating Life 3 Years After Tristan Thompson Breakup

Khloe Kardashian is not keeping up with the current dating scene.

Three years after her breakup with basketball pro Tristan Thompson—father to her daughter True, 6, and son Tatum, 2—The Kardashians star revealed that she is single and not looking to take on a new relationship.

“Dating has not been a focus for me, and I’ve been single for about three years and love it. I really, really do,” she said in an interview with Bustle published Dec. 3. “But I’m not single and dating. I’m just single. I have such power and strength in that.”

“I feel like I’m working on myself so much and am getting to such a good place that I just don’t want something to disrupt it,” she continued. “I don’t know if it’s just me, but dating today is very scary.”

Amid a world of dating apps and various characters sliding into her DMs, the 40-year-old detailed the difficulties of looking for her person as a single mother living in the spotlight.

“I just can’t imagine I would bring a man that I’m dating around my kids,” she added. “So then where do I go to date you? I’m not going to a restaurant where there’s paparazzi and everyone’s going to say we’re getting married next week.“

In fact, the reality star shared that she is treating her single era as a time to restore her confidence after negative thoughts found their way into her head during the pandemic.

“I’ve always been such a confident person, and then I went through some personal things with my relationships and a lot of them took a hit at my self-esteem,” she shared. “I started being so mean to myself and I don’t know where it came from.”

And while Khloe is finding her way back to her old self, NBA player Lamar Odom—who married the reality star one month after they met at a party in 2009—recently shared some insight into their relationship, nearly eight years after they finalized their divorce.

“I don’t speak to her much,” he said in a November episode of the We’re Out of Time podcast. “She still cares about me. But I don’t speak to her.”

After all, Khloe supported her ex through a major health scare at the tail end of their seven-year marriage.

“I’m only speaking for myself, but it’d be hard to really forget somebody after you married them after 30 days,” Lamar told E! News in March, “probably impactful, you know, for the rest of your life—whether you stay with them or not.”
