TREATS

Coconut & Kale:

Coconut is a superfood as it has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. Coconut has been added in the form of coconut oil and desiccated coconut. It is full of healthy fats called medium chain triglycerides. Coconut oil is also full of essential fatty acids, such as linoleic acid, also known as omega-6.

Kale is the other main ingredient in this recipe, and is teeming with vitamins and minerals, which benefit the cardiovascular system. It contains iron which is involved in making the haemoglobin part of the red blood cells, which carries oxygen. It also contains magnesium, which aids in reducing blood pressure. And it contains vitamin K, which is essential in the process of forming clots when there is trauma to a blood vessel. Kale is also known to assist dogs’ brain and ocular health.

Pumpkin & Turmeric:

The pumpkin and turmeric treats are specifically beneficial for dogs in need of natural anti-inflammatories. This will help with sore joints, sensitive guts, or inflamed allergic skin, just to name a few. Turmeric is the super-ingredient in this recipe. It is both anti-inflammatory and an anti-oxidant. The antioxidant properties of turmeric will help improve the future life of dogs. Antioxidants fight against free radicals which can damage cells.

The other superfood in this recipe is pumpkin, which has been added in the form of seeds. Pumpkin seeds are full of fibre, vitamins and minerals, as well as a very clever amino acid known as cucurbitin.

Curcumitinn is an amino acid which can also reduce worm burdens. These magical ingredients are supported by chia seeds, oat flour, brown rice flour, black pepper and coconut oil, to enhance the maximum amount of minerals, vitamins and omega oils that could possibly be included.

Banana & Hemp:

Hemp seeds come from the part of the cannabis plant which does not contain any of the psychoactive substance, so the dog isn’t going to be feeling unusual with this treat! The seeds are actually a superfood. Hemp seeds contain the perfect ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 fatty acids, and when they are in the perfect ratio, they have potent anti-inflammatory effects. This is great news for dogs suffering from creaky, stiff joints, or allergic, itchy skin.

Bananas are also excellent for heart health. They are full of potassium, which is an essential electrolyte for keeping the heart beating in a normal rhythm. Without potassium, the heart beat would be chaotic. They also contain vitamin B6, which is used in the formation of red blood cells; the cells which carry oxygen around the body.

SUPPLEMENTS FOR DOGS AND CATS

Hemp Oil & Seaweed:

Seaweed has been used for consumption for thousands of years. It is packed with vitamins and minerals and is full of antioxidants. Ascophyllum Nodosum has great properties that are beneficial to oral health, and has been shown to reduce plaque in cats and dogs whilst helping fight periodontal diseases.

Hemp contains a perfect ratio of omega 3 and 6. Hemp oil contains all 20 known amino acids and all the essential fatty acids to help promote good health. The gamma-linolenic acid from the omega 6 and the naturally occurring cannabinoids in the hemp plant is a great addition to a pet’s diet.

Hemp Oil & Turmeric:

The Hemp and turmeric oil is the ultimate natural solution for reducing inflammation in dogs with arthritis symptoms and sore joints, as the hemp oil has the perfect ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 to produce potent anti-inflammatory effects. The turmeric helps reduce inflammation, and the active ingredient curcumin has many scientifically-proven medicinal properties. This is especially great news for golden oldies with creaky joints, or dogs with itchy skin.

Hemp Nectar:

Hemp Nectar is created through a special processing of cold-pressed hemp seeds. It is the result of the first pressing and is unfiltered. Hemp Nectar has a higher content of nutrients and chlorophyll than normal hemp seed oil. It may help promote a healthy immune system and heart, joint and cardiovascular health.
