“Linda is fine, busy and continuing to lead a happy life,” the insider tells PEOPLE
Linda Holliday has moved on from Bill Belichick and is living a “happy life,” a source tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Amid 72-year-old Belichick’s relationship with former cheerleader Jordon Hudson, 24, a source tells PEOPLE that Holliday — who Belichick dated for 16 years — is doing well.
And although she was hurt after the split, Holliday has moved on from her relationship with Belichick, the insider says.
“Linda is fine, busy and continuing to lead a happy life,” a Florida source tells PEOPLE.
Holliday was “well taken care of” after her split from Belichick, per the insider. “She has a good attitude about her life. She has a lovely family and good friends.”
The source adds that Holliday uses her Florida home, and she has “at least one place from Bill in Nantucket.”
“She likes it there,” the source says about Holliday’s opinion of Nantucket.
Another source tells PEOPLE that Belichick was spending more time in Florida in recent years “because of his relationship with Linda.”
Amid his new relationship with Hudson and his new head coaching gig at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, the source says Belichick’s life “is changing” and it’s doubtful that he “will be in Florida as much.”
“His heart is in Nantucket,” the insider adds.
PEOPLE reported the split between Belichick and Holliday in Sept. 2023, when a source confirmed that the couple had split and had “been pretty separate for a while.”
At the time, the source said Belichick didn’t want “a lot of public attention” on the split.

Belichick, meanwhile, made his first red carpet appearance with Hudson on Dec. 6 in New York City as the couple stepped out at the American Museum of Natural History Gala.
Belichick and Hudson posed for photos before quickly moving on into the event. Later in the evening, they cozied up while waiting in the pretzel and hot chocolate line, with Hudson rubbing Belichick’s back.
And a week later, when Belichick was introduced as the new head coach of Tar Heels football, Hudson supported her beau on social media and in North Carolina.
“We are onto Chapel Hill!!!” Hudson wrote in her Instagram Stories on Dec. 11, alluding to her boyfriend’s viral “We’re onto Cincinnati” press conference in 2014. She was then in attendance for Belichick’s introductory press conference a day later.
