Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, 32, were last seen in Aberdeen, Scotland in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, Jan. 7
Police in Scotland are continuing to search for two sisters after they were last seen walking near a river three days ago.
On Thursday, Jan. 9, Police Scotland issued an appeal to trace 32-year-old siblings Eliza and Henrietta Huszti after they were last seen on CCTV in Market Street at Victoria Bridge in Aberdeen at around 2:12 a.m. local time on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
“They have crossed the bridge and turned right onto a footpath next to the River Dee heading in the direction of the Aberdeen Boat Club,” police said, per the release.
“Eliza and Henrietta are both described as white and of slim build with long, brown hair,” officers confirmed.
Chief Inspector, Darren Bruce, said “extensive inquiries” were ongoing in a bid to trace the two siblings.
“Searches are being carried out in and around the area where they were last seen,” Bruce insisted, per the release.
“Local officers, led by specialist search advisors are being assisted by resources including the police dogs and our marine unit,” he added.
The officer continued, “The Torry side of Victoria Bridge where they were last seen has many commercial and industrial units.”
“Searches are ongoing here and we would urge businesses in and around the South Esplanade and Menzies Road area to please review their CCTV footage for early morning on Tuesday, 7 January, 2025 and contact us if it holds anything that may be relevant to our investigation. We also ask anyone with dashcam footage from that time to contact us,” Bruce shared, according to the appeal.
Bruce added that police “are continuing to speak to people who know Eliza and Henrietta,” urging anyone who might have seen them or may have any information to get in touch.
Police Scotland added to PEOPLE in an email, “There are no updates and searches remain ongoing.”
