The model and author shared a snap of the homemade chocolate cake she whipped up for her daughter Esti’s celebration
Chrissy Teigen is happy to be back in her kitchen.
On Monday, Jan. 13, the model and author, 39, revealed she and her family were back home following their evacuation amid the Los Angeles fires.
Their return was a double celebration as it also marked Teigen’s daughter Esti’s second birthday. Sharing a snap of her homemade cake via Instagram Stories, Teigen — who shares Esti, Luna Simone, 8, Miles Theodore, 6, and Wren Alexander, 18 months, with husband John Legend — wrote, “I’m feeling grateful to be back home. This is all I could muster up for Esti’s birthday.”
The large cake was decorated with chocolate frosting and multicolored sprinkles. Two action figures of Esti’s favorite wrestler, John Cena were also placed on top.
Esti celebrated her second birthday on Jan. 13, after her family fled to a hotel on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
At the time, Teigen shared a mirror selfie to reveal how frightening it was to be leaving the home she shares with Legend, 46, and their children.
“This is surreal I’m very scared now. Packing,” she wrote across the photo.
The mother of four shared that the family had fled with all of their pets in tow.
“4 dogs, 4 kids and a beared dragon walk into a hotel,” she joked on social media.
Last month, Teigen had revealed little Esti’s “obsession” with John Cena. On Sunday, Dec. 22, she shared via Instagram that her daughter couldn’t “do anything” without a miniature figure of the wrestler. The star added that her love for Cena was a “mystery.”
The model posted a video of Esti holding a newly packaged John Cena action figure while dressed in pajamas.
“I want you to open it,” the toddler said while handing the toy to her mom.
When Teigen asked Esti to identify the toy, she proudly said, “It’s John Cena!”
