The ‘Euphoria’ star’s family gave a nickname to her fiancé that’s a nod to the couple’s shared movie franchise
Zendaya and Tom Holland are keeping M.J. and Peter Parker’s legacies going!
The newly engaged couple recently attended a party with her family and friends in Oakland over the weekend. A video was posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) documenting the festivities, and a few clips revealed Zendaya’s inner circle hilariously calling Holland by his superhero alias, Spider-Man.
One of the party attendees asked Zendaya, 28, in the X video how to say “I love you” in sign language, to which the Challengers star obliged and signed the symbol. The user then turned the camera to Zendaya’s fiancé and said, “Oh, hold on, let me get Spider-Man.”

The newly revealed nickname was used again when Holland, 28, was filmed holding a baby in his arms. The video caption read: “The real Spider-Man. Facts.”
Another video from the event showed Holland surrounded by Zendaya’s family and friends on the dance floor as everyone danced. Another featured Zendaya dancing with her loved ones and then panned to Holland sweetly taking a video of his Spider-Man: No Way Home costar on his phone.

The adorable clips of the couple follow their recent engagement over the holidays. The Dune star stepped out to the 2025 Golden Globes on Jan. 5, with a large diamond ring on her left ring finger.
“He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special,” the source told PEOPLE and noted that Holland shared the big news with friends around New Year’s.
A separate source told PEOPLE on Jan. 6 that “everyone close to them knew an engagement was happening” but not when adding that Holland wanted to propose to the Euphoria star “for a while.”

The couple also marked their love for one another with matching ink at Boston Tattoo Company on Nov. 27. They each got a tattoo of each other’s initials. Zendaya had a small “t” placed just underneath her armpit, while her fiancé went with a similarly discreet “z” on top of his rib cage.
A source told PEOPLE that since getting engaged, the couple is savoring this happy moment in their lives. Adding that they will take their time to plan their future nuptials. “They will just enjoy things for now and won’t rush a wedding,” the insider shared. “They are both busy with work projects.”
The couple are set to costar in Christopher Nolan‘s next movie, an adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey. Anne Hathaway and Matt Damon are also expected to star in the movie, as are Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o and Charlize Theron, per Deadline.
