Eagles pride is a family thing — just ask Anne Hathaway’s son.

The Princess Diaries star, 42, was seen attending the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 9, in New Orleans, alongside her 5-year-old son Jack in a video posted to Instagram. The two were decked out in Philadelphia Eagles gear as they were seen cheering on their team on the jumbotron.

Hathaway wore a green T-shirt and sat with her son on her lap. The two waved when they realized they were on the big screen. Although Hathaway was born in New York, her grandfather is the late Philadelphia radio personality Joe McCauley.

This isn’t the first sports game that Hathaway and her son have been seen at recently. In November, The Idea of You actress took Jack to see the New York Knicks take on the Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden in New York.

During the game, cameras caught a close encounter when Ogugua “OG” Anunoby crashed over a barrier and stumbled right into Hathaway and her son.

Jack appeared to be surprised by the sudden commotion, which led to some dropped popcorn.  “Anunoby’s scaring those along the sidelines,” one of the game’s announcers playfully said while laughing.

His co-host added, “The little kid was mesmerized. He couldn’t move.”

As the announcers talked, a video of a smiling Hathaway played across the screen, as she rubbed her son’s arm.

Appearing on the cover of NET-A-PORTER’s digital title PORTER in November 2023, Hathaway opened up about why she tries to keep her two kids out of the spotlight.

“It’s something I feel is not just essential for my health — I’m on a team, it’s my family, and it’s not just about me,” she told the outlet at the time.

“My family has needs, and one of the needs of children is that they need to be able to define their own lives,” she continued.

“It doesn’t even occur to me to link the two up, except through gratitude that they serve each other so beautifully. But they serve each other through me, and not through a space that’s outside of myself.”
