There was one party foul at the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl victory parade.

On Friday, Feb. 14, the NFL team’s general manager, Howie Roseman, sustained an unexpected injury when he took a beer can to the head.

At the celebration, Roseman, 49, took the stage and showed off his crescent-shaped wound. As he held up the Super Bowl LIX trophy and smoked his cigar, he declared, “I bleed for this city!”

“Go Eagles,” he continued, per a Sports Center social media post: “Our players, our staff have done an unbelievable job. We are two time royal champs and we’re coming back strong. Go, birds!”

“I laughed at him a little bit when it happened,” Eagles player Josh Sweat told NBC Sports Philadelphia. “And I know he’s mad at me. … When I saw it, I knew what happened, and I couldn’t contain my laugh. … I did not throw the can at him. But, hey, that’s part of it. They’re throwing full cans and bottles.”

Roseman has served as the team’s GM for 15 years. Under his leadership, the Eagles have reached three Super Bowls, winning for the first time ever in 2018 and then again in 2025.

Roseman’s injury follows Philadelphia’s lively celebration on Friday, after the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2025 Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 9.

Before the parade, former Eagles star Jason Kelce was spotted at a Philadelphia bar. In a post on Instagram shared by fellow bar goers, Kelce — wearing a Super Bowl LIX hat — was seen singing along with fans as they belted out the “Fly, Eagles, Fly” victory song in a local bar.

After the song, Kelce, 37, chugged his pint of beer as fellow patrons cheered him on. He pumped his fists in the air after he finished the drink as the entire bar clapped.

In the comments, one person said that Kelce “bought shots for everyone” and took them with the fans.

During the parade itself, Saquon Barkley spotted the team’s ball boy, known as Aidan Z, behind the barricade. Once Barkley, 28, recognized Aidan, he helped him over the barricade to join the team in the celebrations.

According to the WTTW Podcast account, the ball boy was left off of the team’s bus during the parade, but Barkley made sure he was included in the festivities as a member of the Eagles squad.

Sadly, violence marred the celebration.

The Philadelphia InquirerCBS News and WJLA reported that two people were shot at the victory parade, near the parade route in the city’s Spring Garden neighborhood.

Police told the Inquirer that two women were shot by a man wearing an Eagles jersey following an argument. The victims are in stable condition, police said, per the outlet.

Further details surrounding the incident remain unclear. PEOPLE has contacted the Philadelphia Police Department for comment.
