Edwin Arroyave Gives Update on Teddi Mellencamp as Family Visits Her Following Brain Tumor Surgery 

Edwin Arroyave is letting fans of his estranged wife, Teddi Mellencamp, know how she is doing following her brain tumor surgery.

In a statement posted to his Instagram Stories and main feed on Monday, Feb. 17, Arroyave, 47, shared with his followers that their “family is thankful to everybody for your continued prayers and well wishes.”

“Teddi is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love while she continues to recover,” his statement continued.

Arroyave shared the update after posting a biblical quote about “waiting on the lord.” His Instagram Stories also included a photo of him and his teenage daughter Bella, whom he shares with ex-Christina Mecklenburg, and 12-year-old Slate, visiting Mellencamp, 43, at the hospital.

“On our way to visit Mom,” he wrote underneath the photo. In addition to Slate, Arroyave and Mellencamp also share 4-year-old Dove and 10-year-old Cruz.

While the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum filed for divorce from Arroyave in November 2024 after 13 years of marriage, he has been updating fans on her health since she shared that she had “multiple” brain tumors and would be having two of them removed in an Instagram statement on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Arroyave shared on Instagram on Thursday, Feb. 13, that Mellencamp’s surgery “went well” but that she was “in so much pain.”

“She’s finally getting some needed rest. I know she is so grateful for the outpouring of love,” Arroyave wrote.

Mellencamp previously explained that the tumors were found after she had “been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches” for “several” weeks.

“Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months,” wrote Mellencamp on Instagram, noting that “the remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”

The Bravo personality has often been vocal about her health, as she has had more than 17 different spots of melanoma removed.

It was just in December that Mellencamp shared in an Instagram video that she had gone to the doctor and was told she wouldn’t have to go back till March for another three-month skin check.

“I just got done having a little cry, but it’s a good one. It’s the first time, and over two years, I’ve gone in for my three-month check and not had to have a biopsy because I have another cancer spot,” said Mellncamp at the time.
