Alix Earle is already planning her next move.

A day after news broke that her Hot Mess podcast was dropped from Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network, the 24-year-old influencer took to Instagram on Feb. 26 to announce her latest career venture.

In the get-ready-with-me style video, she revealed to her followers that will be investing in a new unnamed alcohol brand. She noted that she planned to keep the brand’s name a surprise until its launch, which is set for sometime in March 2025.

“I wanted to do something in the alcohol space since I graduated college,” Earle explained in the clip. “I’ve been trying to find some way to get involved.”

After various previous attempts, she said she struggled to find a brand that felt like the right fit for her. However, in the summer of 2024, she said she was approached by a brand that has been around for a while but “never really took off.”

“But I was obsessed with it,” she continued. “So I said, ‘Let me explore this,’ and didn’t really think anything would come of it… but I [decided to invest] in this company.”

Earle said she worked with other investors to help raise more money for the brand and has been helping with the brand’s relaunch campaign on social media and coming up with some creative ideas.

She also revealed that she will be starring in the relaunch campaign, adding that she had fun “directing the creative” vision for the brand.

“The other cool part of this is it could completely fail,” she added. “It’s scary… there’s a lot that goes into it and [starting something new] is scary, but I believe in it. I believe in the team and the product and I’m very excited.”

Earle’s latest move comes after Variety reported the Hot Mess podcast was dropped by Unwell Network on Feb. 25. According to the outlet, the network dropped the podcast to allow Earle to pursue other opportunities and that SiriusXM will not sell any ads for the show moving forward.
