Influencer Alix Earle is opening up about how she’s been doing since news broke that her podcast had been dropped by Alex Cooper‘s podcasting network.

On Feb. 25, Variety reported that the Unwell Network — which Cooper, 30, founded — had dropped Earle’s podcast, Hot Mess. The outlet noted that the company has renounced all rights to Hot Mess and said SiriusXM will no longer sell ads for the show.

Earle, 24, joined the network — which also hosts Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast — in August 2023, per the outlet.

Now, in a video shared on TikTok on Friday, Feb. 28, Earle has revealed that her week has been “meh.” Later in the video, she seemingly addressed the news about her podcast, saying, “Obviously, there’s been a lot of chatter online this week about me and work. And I also have no idea what’s going on.”

Earle did not make any further mention of her current professional situation in the video, which featured her removing her makeup and her nighttime skincare routine.

On Feb. 26, one day after the news of the professional split broke, Earle shared an update on Instagram, revealing to her followers that she already has her next business venture lined up.

In the get-ready-with-me-style video, she shared that she will be investing in a new alcohol brand. She noted that she planned to keep the brand’s name a surprise until its launch, which is set for sometime this month.

“I wanted to do something in the alcohol space since I graduated college,” Earle explained in the clip. “I’ve been trying to find some way to get involved.”

She said that she had struggled to find a brand that felt like the right fit for her. However, in the summer of 2024, she was approached by a brand that has been around for a while but “never really took off.”

“But I was obsessed with it,” Earle continued. “So I said, ‘Let me explore this,’ and didn’t really think anything would come of it… but I [decided to invest] in this company.”

“The other cool part of this is it could completely fail,” she added. “It’s scary… there’s a lot that goes into it and [starting something new] is scary, but I believe in it. I believe in the team and the product and I’m very excited.”

While it is currently unclear what prompted the Unwell Network to cut ties with Earle’s podcast, fans had been speculating that the two influencers may be at odds after Earle was absent from an Unwell Super Bowl party in New Orleans in February.

PEOPLE reached out to representatives for both Earle and Cooper on Saturday, March 1, but did not receive an immediate response.
