Alysha’s brother Charles Burney, who announced the YouTuber’s death, said she died after having an asthma attack in her sleep

Social media star Alysha Burney, who has more than five million followers on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, has died. She was 24.
Alysha died after having an asthma attack in her sleep on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on March 2. according to Fox4 News. She was due to celebrate her 25th birthday the next day.
Her brother, Charles Burney, shared the news of her death on Instagram on Monday, March 10.
“I come with great sadness that my little sister Alysha Burney has passed,” Charles wrote. “PLEASE allow our family time to grieve during this time.”
“It is extremely difficult seeing all of the false narratives trying to defame her legacy…,” he continued. “…[We] will share more information soon but just give us some time and please stop harassing the family ❤️. Her legacy will still live on FOREVER!! LongLiveAlyshaBurney 🕊️♾️.”

Charles was with his sister at the time of her death, Fox4 News reported. He told the outlet that Alysha died after having an asthma attack while she was asleep.
Her official cause of death has not been disclosed at this time.
Alysha was a graduate of the University of Central Missouri and first joined YouTube in February 2013. She went viral after posting Bad Girls Club parodies online and gained millions of followers across her social media, with 2.5 million on TikTok and 1.27 million subscribers on YouTube.
“She will always be dearly loved, and her legacy will live on forever,” Charles the Fox4 News, adding that Alysha was on vacation “to celebrate her birthday.”
“Alysha was very goal-oriented, creative, and passionate about giving back. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Digital Media Production and was working towards her graduate degree,” he continued.

Charles also addressed rumors surrounding the circumstances of his sister’s death. “She does not do drugs,” he told the outlet. “She was a self-loving and happy individual who cherished her life and was looking forward to the upcoming year’s plans … She was a very classy young woman.”
“There’s a spread of misinformation online, stating different things based on speculation. These sources lack credibility and should not be believed. My sister did not engage in environments that would lead to such situations,” he added.
Alysha’s last Instagram post was a playful Reel with her brother, seemingly on the Mexico vacation and posted on March 1 — one day before her death.
