Best Actor winner Brody has been dating Weinstein’s ex-wife Georgina Chapman for roughly five years after they were first linked in 2019

Harvey Weinstein is speaking out from prison after his ex-wife Georgina Chapman’s boyfriend Adrien Brody gave a special shoutout to the disgraced producer’s two children in his 2025 Oscars acceptance speech.
Brody, 51, took home the Best Actor gong for his role in The Brutalist, his second win after 2002’s The Pianist. During his speech, an emotional Brody acknowledged his proud girlfriend, 48, in the audience, as well as the two children she shares with Weinstein.
“I share this with my amazing partner, Georgina, who has not only reinvigorated my own self-worth, but my sense of value and my values,” Brody said during his speech. “And her beautiful children, Dash and India, I know this has been a rollercoaster, but thank you for accepting me into your life, and Popsy’s coming home a winner!”

Weinstein, 72, who is currently serving a 23-year sentence after being convicted of third-degree rape and committing a criminal sex act in 2020, spoke out about Brody’s mention of his daughter India, 14, and son Dashiell, 11.
“Harvey is happy for Georgina and grateful that his kids are being loved and cared for as they deserve to be,” Weinstein’s representative told PEOPLE in a statement.

Chapman married Weinstein in 2007. She was granted primary custody of their kids when she filed for divorce from Weinstein in 2017 after he was accused of sexual misconduct by more than 80 women.
She and Brody were first linked in 2019 after reconnecting at a dinner, and PEOPLE confirmed their relationship in early 2020.

The pair made their red carpet debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2021 and have made several public appearances together since.
The Marchesa co-founder has been by Brody’s side during this awards season. The couple live in upstate New York with Chapman’s two children.
During an interview with PEOPLE in April 2023, Brody recalled when a then-9-year-old Dashiell once left him speechless.
“[He] asked me — quite seriously, ‘What would you rather eat? Ice cream that tastes like s— or s— that tastes like ice cream?’ ” he shared.
Weinstein is currently serving his prison term at Rikers Island in New York City after beginning his sentence at Wende Correctional Facility in upstate New York. In April 2024, however, his 2020 New York convictions were overturned and he is currently awaiting a retrial. The disgraced movie mogul has remained behind bars due to his 2022 convictions for sex crimes charges in California.
