Tarek El Moussa is not afraid to share his secrets for a full head of hair.

Months after revealing that he got Botox on his 43rd birthday in August, the HGTV star shared more about what cosmetic procedures he does on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea show.

“Last season of The Flip Off, I do look a little bit different. I’m in better shape. My hair is longer. I look decent. You know, people are saying I’m wearing a toupee or I got plastic surgery. I’m gonna tell you guys exactly what I did,” said Tarek.

“Here’s what I did: I got PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections in my head, which caused my hair to grow in fuller and I grew out my hair.”

According to the Cleveland Clinic, PRP injections are a “therapeutic treatment derived from your blood” that contains “five to 10 times as many platelets as a normal blood sample would.”

Harvard Health states on its website that “the theory is that platelets, injected deep into the scalp to reach the bottom of the hair follicle, may stimulate a specialized population of cells named dermal papilla cells, which play a critical role in hair growth.”

Tarek said that his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, 37, also sends him to get a collagen-boosting micro-needling procedure on his face every six weeks in addition to micro-needling and laser resurfacing.

“Heather sends me to this place every six weeks. One time they stabbed me with needles,” Tarek said. “The other six weeks, they fry it with a laser, and then I rotate every six weeks, and that’s why my skin looks better.”

The television star said he used Botox to “freeze it so I don’t get as many wrinkles. But other than that, that’s it.”
