MrBeast Fans Seek Refunds for $1K-Per-Ticket Las Vegas Event After Disappointing Experience

A group of MrBeast fans are not pleased with a recent Las Vegas event that was advertised as “immersive.”

The three-day event from April 13 through April 15, held at Resorts World Las Vegas, was promised to be “immersive” and “unforgettable.” The ticket cost attendees $1,000 each, per 8NewsNow. After demanding refunds from Resorts World Las Vegas CEO Alex Dixon, the company told the outlet that attendees will be fully refunded.

In an email to 8NewsNow and also received by guests, Resorts World acknowledged that “expectations were not met during the MrBeast experience” and said customers can expect full refunds within the next three to five days.

Guests were told to anticipate a mystery gift sent to their hotel rooms and asked to wait there until they received the package. Some guests stayed in their rooms for 24 hours, only to receive mystery bags with merchandise already available to the public and a box of chocolates.

“It should have been like mini-games, meet and greets, photo ops, special drinks, and things,” Theresa Metta, who traveled to Las Vegas with her mother, told the news station. “Unfortunately, we didn’t get any of that.”

“I was told to wait in my room for two days for a package to come, so I legit spent two days in my room for a package to come, and it was a box of chocolates,” Metta continued.

“They said there would be mystery bags or boxes, and that one person would win $10,000, and then there would be a limited edition merchandise inside the boxes,” guest Jamie Yacksyzn exclusively tells PEOPLE. “They also said the contents of the boxes are secret and not to be found out until you get the box. So it alluded to the fact that there was going to be more special surprises in the box, and that there would be immersive experiences throughout the hotel floor and restaurants and activations.”

Yacksyzn continued, “I had seen things about the experience reported on MrBeast pages. Knowing how MrBeast is, and he does secret surprises and things, the hotel had also mentioned that it would be aligned with MrBeast’s reputation for being generous and his generosity.”

She shared photos of the contents of her box, which showed Mr. Beast merchandise in XXXS and kids’ sizes.

She claims that another guest at the experience did not leave their room once during the three-day stay at Resorts World Las Vegas. The hotel has later deleted a description of the experience from its website.

After sharing her experience on TikTok, MrBeast’s team reached out to Yacksyzn and offered to schedule a call regarding her experience.

Another guest shared a post on X about the strange isolation of the event.

“Hey! This definitely isn’t the experience we hoped they’d deliver,” MrBeast replied. “My team’s already on it–I’d love to personally make it up to you and anyone else by inviting everybody affected to tour my actual studio! Can’t wait to meet you all and my team is reaching out to everyone :D.”

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is a popular influencer who rose to prominence on YouTube, largely for his philanthropy and numerous business endeavors. His reality competition show Beast Games aired on Amazon Prime Video in 2024. His current project, Feastables, a snack company, seeks to put an end to child labor.

The Las Vegas controversy is not the first for MrBeast. He was previously sued by the reality show contestants for alleged sexual harassment, unpaid wages and alleged mistreatment. The YouTube personality later hired an investigator after his friend and former collaborator Ava Tyson was accused of grooming minors. Tyson has denied the allegations. The law firm hired to investigate announced in November 2024 that it found no evidence of sexual misconduct within MrBeast’s company.
