It’s a boy for Bryce Harper!

The Philadelphia Phillies player, 32, revealed the sex of his fourth child on the way during a home game against the San Francisco Giants at Citizens Bank Park on Monday, April 14, with the help of a custom baby-blue bat.

After being handed the bat by his teammate, Trea Turner, Harper stepped up to the plate and prepared to swing, while simultaneously revealing the big news, per MLB.

The athlete and his wife, Kayla Harper, will add a baby boy to their family, which already includes son Krew Aron, 5½, plus daughters Brooklyn Elizabeth, 4, and Kamryn Ray, 11 months.

Harper and Kayla, 32 (née Varner), are high-school sweethearts, who married in December 2016 before welcoming their first child, son Krew, in August 2019.

The couple, who are from Henderson, Nev., were first engaged in 2014, but temporarily called off their relationship by early 2015 before reconnecting later that year.

Harper and Kayla announced their engagement again in July 2016, with the then-bride-to-be sharing a photo of the duo attending the 2016 ESPY Awards — with an engagement ring prominently featured on her left hand.

“ESPYS last night with my love. So proud of you, B! Oh and WERE ENGAGED … Again 💍✨ #TheSequel,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

After being the No. 1 pick in the 2010 MLB draft, Harper began his career with the Washington National. He has since been named the National League Rookie of the Year, and Most Valuable Player twice. In 2019, Harper signed a record-breaking $330-million contract with the Phillies.

The professional outfielder has previously opened up about how he attributes his success both on and off the field to the support of his “amazing family.”

“I have an amazing wife [and] two beautiful kids that keep me very humbled and grounded,” Harper told a Los Angeles radio station in 2022. “When I leave the field, it’s all about them.”
