Sydney Thomas — the viral ring girl from the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight — reintroduced herself to the world after “overwhelming” support online as she surpassed one million followers on TikTok.

The 20-year-old University of Alabama student posted a “get to know me” video on TikTok on Nov. 25 and thanked everyone for “all the attention, positive comments and follows” after the fight.

“I could not be more thankful or blessed, so thank you,” she said. “I feel like you guys have seen me on TV, and you don’t actually know who I am. So I’m going to give you guys a little rundown on me cause there’s more to me than just what you see.”

Thomas revealed that she grew up in St. Louis, Mo. and moved to Alabama for college to study management and entrepreneurship. She currently does her classes online to be able to travel and for the flexibility in her own schedule.

“I’m technically a junior, but I’m going to be finishing a year early in August, which is exciting,” she said. “Contrary to popular opinion or popular belief, I’m am smart. People kind of get the image of a pretty blonde, [who] doesn’t have a brain. But I got a 33 on my ACT’s in high school and I’m finishing college early, so take it as you want.”

Along with her work in school, Thomas also “does social media,” models and is also part of the game day hype squad for the St. Louis Cardinals where she does “in-game entertainment and cheerleading” and “hosting interviews” in between innings.

She previously revealed in an Instagram Q&A on Nov. 17 that she was discovered on social media by Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions team and actually made her debut as a ring girl back in October.

“I’m very athletic and love to work out,” she explained. “I [also] love health and wellness [and] anything that has to do with improving yourself physically, mentally and emotionally, I’m all for it.”

Thomas also said that she considered herself to be “very driven with self-improvement” and aims to become “the best version” of herself.

“I think the biggest investment you can make in your life is an investment in yourself,” she continued. “So that’s where I spend most of my time. Eating good food, working out and taking care of my body and mental health, journaling and talking to Jesus. Those types of things that make you a better person all around is really where I find peace and happiness.”

While she said that she is still unsure about what exactly she wants to do with her life, Thomas said that “so much of my life has changed” over the last two weeks since she first went viral online.

“My path is so different and unique that I take it day by day,” she added. “I don’t stress too much about the future. I know the path that I’m on is the right one and I’ll end up where I need to be and it will all work out in the end.”

With her new platform, she plans to continue “sharing her life” with everyone online and “make an impact” and hopes that “if the things I share on here positively change someone’s life, that’s a big thing for me.”
