A risqué remark from The View’s Whoopi Goldberg prompted cohost Sara Haines to walk off set during a segment on the Nov. 13 episode.
Whoopi Goldberg isn’t afraid to get a little risqué.
During a segment on the Nov. 13 episode of The View—which coincided with Whoopi’s 69th birthday—the EGOT winner highlighted some of her favorite items alongside cohost Sara Haines, including a giant wheel of cheese imprinted with Whoopi’s face.
“I always wanted my face on cheese,” Sara quipped as they approached the dairy product, to which Whoopi deadpanned, “I like to be eaten from time to time.”
As the audience laughed and cheered at the comment, Sara, 47, abruptly walked off camera—only to return moments later and hug her cohost, who quipped, “Nevermind.”
But Sara ultimately had the last laugh, interjecting when Whoopi attempted to close out the segment.
“If you’d like a chance to win a wheel just like this one,” Whoopi began, before Sara exclaimed, “and eat Whoopi Goldberg!”
Of course, Sara is no stranger to jaw-dropping on-air moments, even if they’re at her own expense.
In October, Joy Behar—who also cohosts the long-running talk show alongside Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin—brought up Sara’s dating history while her parents, Sandy and Dick Haines, watched on in the audience.
“Are you going to bring up that lesbian relationship you said you had,” Joy asked, “back at Smith?”
Sara, who graduated from Smith College in 2000, laughed at the blunt question and joked, “Dad, earmuffs! Earmuffs!”
And there’s likely much more oversharing to come, as Whoopi recently indicated she has no plans to leave the daytime program during a discussion about the economy.
“I appreciate that people are having a hard time. Me, too. I work for a living,” the Ghost star, who has served as the show’s moderator since 2007, said during the Nov. 12 episode. “If I had all the money in the world, I would not be here, OK? So, I’m a working person, you know?”

As The View panelists were reviewing footage about a woman who alleged she had “sexual ghosts” in her home, Sara Haines asked the group an important question during an October 2022 episode: “If you have sex with a ghost, can you get pregnant?”
Fortunately for her, co-host Joy Behar had an answer, adding, “I’ve had sex with a few ghosts and never got pregnant.”
“I’m just gonna let that ride,” Whoopi Goldberg said in response. “I don’t know how many of you just heard what Joy just said, but I’m going to let it ride.”

Telling The New York Times the lengths she would go to for a more youthful appearance, the reality star cracked that she was willing to try just about anything.
“If you told me that I literally had to eat poop every single day and I would look younger, I might,” she said in June. “I just might.”
In a July 2022 interview with Allure, Kim said she was “kind of joking” about the comment, though the idea didn’t seem too terrible.
“But now that I think about it,” Kim added, “I would probably eat s–t if someone told me, ‘If you eat this bowl of poop every single day, you’ll look younger.'”
How much could she make room for? “Maybe just a bite,” she told the outlet. “I don’t think I can do a whole bowl.”
