George Lopez‘s latest look had a few fans do a double-take.
On Thursday, Feb. 13, the George Lopez star, 63, appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, but his hairdo surprised a few viewers.
The official Instagram account for the daytime talk show added a video of the Lopez v. Lopez star participating in the show’s signature spirit tunnel on Thursday, Feb. 13. However, internet users were stunned by Lopez’s long gray hair.
Lopez showed off his shoulder-length, light gray hair and gray beard as he walked down the hallway to the staff’s rendition of his former sitcom’s famed theme song.
During his appearance, he wore a dark navy blue suit paired with a coordinating navy blue sweater. There, he spoke about being in the entertainment industry for five decades and his Madame Tussauds wax figure.
When Hudson showed him a picture of the sculpture in 2010, he knowingly said, “I don’t look like that anymore.”
Lopez recalled looking at his wax figure at the museum, detailing his cheeky exchange with a guard. “I went in to go look at it. And I was standing around it, and the guard goes, ‘Hey, leave that guy alone.’ ”
“I’m like, ‘Hey man, that’s me.’ He’s like, ‘That ain’t you,’ ” he recalled before joking he’d like to get another one that resembled him in the present day.

Prior to his Thursday appearance, Lopez had been spotted rocking the gray locks in recent months. At the 76th Emmy Awards in September 2024, he was seen with the look as he presented alongside Jesse Tyler Furegson and Damon Wayans.
The following month, he showed off his growing locks at the NBC Fall Comedy Celebration to celebrate his latest sitcom, Lopez v. Lopez.
His sitcom character, George, also sported long hair in Seasons 2 and 3.

There, he told PEOPLE that the sitcom could be his last project — but the only emotions he’s feeling are positive ones.
“It makes it happy. I mean, I would like for it to go a few more seasons, but yeah, after this, I’d like to have a little time for myself,” Lopez said of what’s next in his career.
