Jack Quaid is mom Meg Ryan‘s biggest cheerleader.

The actor, 32, said watching his famous mother’s return to the Hollywood spotlight — from her recent Super Bowl commercial to her presenting at the 2025 Academy Awards — has been “unbelievable,” during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of his movie Novocaine on Tuesday, March 11.

“Obviously, I am very biased, but no one deserves it more than her,” Quaid said.

Ryan, 63, and Billy Crystal, 76, reunited for a Super Bowl commercial that revived the titular characters from their 1989 rom-com When Harry Met Sally and celebrated the 35th anniversary of the movie. The two are seen at New York’s famous Katz’s Deli, with Crystal’s Harry telling Ryan’s Sally, “I can’t believe they let us back in this place.”

The commercial, which promoted Hellmann’s products, paid tribute to a memorable moment where Harry says he doesn’t believe any of the women he’s slept with have ever faked an orgasm. Sally proceeds to offer a convincing demonstration right in the middle of the restaurant. “I’ll have what she’s having,” a fellow diner says after Sally’s performance.

The famous on-screen couple appeared once more as Oscars presenters at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Mar. 2, where they presented the award for Best Picture to Anora.

Ryan, who has headlined several iconic rom-coms like When Harry Met Sally as well as Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail, jumped back into the genre with 2023’s What Happens Later, which she co-wrote, directed and starred in. In her first role since her 2015 directorial debut Ithaca, which her son Jack co-starred in, Ryan costarred along with David Duchovny.

Quaid recently shared how his famous parents Ryan and Dennis Quaid weren’t always on board with him following in their Hollywood footsteps.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published Dec. 27, Quaid — who has had two movies releases already in 2025, Companion and Novocaine — said, “With my parents, I told them I wanted to be an actor and they understood what that meant.
