The “1000-lb Sisters” star has stunned fans with her recent Instagram posts, revealing a remarkable transformation that has everyone talking.

Amanda Halterman shared new photos on Instagram from an outing on March 17, showcasing her significant weight loss that sent netizens rushing to her comment section. While her partner, Leonard Moore, was not in the images, she still mentioned him in her captions.

Halterman, who first gained notoriety for appearing on “1000-lb Sisters,” revealed their relationship in January 2025 through social media, and her latest updates continue to reference him.

In one caption, she wrote, “@leonardemoore had such great [sic] time hanging out with the kiddos and getting pampered. ❤ thank you 💋💋.” Another post read, “Leonard Moore had such a great time with you and your girls. Thank you so much ❤💋💋😘😘💟😍.”

While Halterman, who is Tammy Slaton‘s older sister, wanted to thank her boyfriend for the special day, fans focused on her incredible transformation and wrote supportive messages in the comments.

One person wrote“Congratulations on that weight loss! What a huge difference!” Another commented“Look at this skinny mini!!!❤❤” and someone else added“You look fantastic Amanda! 👏”

Others expressed their admiration for how much she has changed. “You have definitely lost a ton of weight!!” one follower noted, while another said“Look at you all skinny and cute.” Another comment read“Blimey Amanda, you’ve lost loads more weight! Well done!”

The compliments continued, with one person writing“Amanda [sic] you look great 👍👍👍,” and another exclaiming“You’re so tiny ❤”

Beyond the praise for her physical transformation, Halterman has been vocal about her journey to self-acceptance. In another post, she reflected on the challenges of self-confidence, writing that Moore constantly reminds her of how he sees her, which has helped her immensely.

She encouraged others to embrace both compliments and constructive criticism, hoping that they, too, would grow into the best versions of themselves.

She has also shared motivational messages, emphasizing that success requires discipline, consistency, and sacrifice. In a candid post shared with Moore’s account, they stated that no one needs permission or validation to be great—only belief in themselves.

Halterman was always more slender than her sisters, and during the show, she often seemed more focused than them about losing weight. In a past episode from Season 3, she was seen demonstrating a motorized wheelchair to her sister Tammy during a family vacation.

However, tension arose when she expressed concerns about sticking to her diet at a horror-themed restaurant, leading to a disagreement with Amy and Tammy who wanted a cheat day.

In any case, her progress so far can be truly appreciated by going back to her other social media posts, like on TikTok, where there’s a photo carousel of her at her boys’ graduation in 2023. She also has a video playing with her nephew.

Her journey is truly inspiring, just like her sister, Tammy, who marked a major milestone in her physical transformation journey back in November 2024 and is proud of how far she has come.

TLC shared an Instagram clip capturing the moment Slaton weighed herself, revealing a number she hadn’t seen in years: 281.2 lbs. Slaton narrated, “The last time I was at Dr. Smith’s, I weighed in at 303.”

Her surprised brother, Chris Comb, chimed in, “Congratulations, that’s good!” In a confessional, Slaton shared, “Chris said he weighs 284. I now weigh a little less than Chris. That’s mind-blowing. I think the last time I weighed 281 I was like, fourth or fifth grade. I’m the baby sister, I’m not the ‘big’ baby sister no more.”

At one point, Slaton turned to her brother and asked, “How am I lighter than you?” Combs replied, “You’re supposed to be lighter than me.” Slaton humorously quipped in response, “Cause I’m short?”

Despite the playful sibling jabs, Combs shared his joy and pride over Slaton’s success, expressing how much her achievement meant to him. He noted, “Did I ever think I’d see the day that she was smaller than me? Well, no, probably not, because I never thought about her being smaller than me. She’s always been Tammy, big.”

Tammy Slaton has achieved significant milestones in her weight loss journey, but another Instagram clip revealed that her progress toward the next step, a skin removal surgery, has been temporarily delayed.

In the video, Slaton is consulting with her plastic surgeon, Dr. Brad Turner, who explains that she is not yet prepared for the procedure. Disappointment was evident as Slaton lowered her head, visibly affected by the news.

When asked about proceeding with additional checkups, her response mirrored her somber mood. “I just don’t wanna get undressed,” said the reality star, who had been eager to take the next step in her journey by addressing the excess skin.

Dr. Turner clarified that although Slaton has made impressive progress, she is still only 13 months post-bariatric surgery. Therefore, she requires additional time to reach her target weight before proceeding with skin removal surgery.

“I’m definitely not telling you, ‘No.’ I’m just telling you, ‘Not tomorrow,'” Dr. Turner told Slaton. He added that with another six months to a year of steady weight loss, she would be in an optimal position to undergo the procedure.

Despite some setbacks in her weight loss journey, Slaton has shed a significant amount of weight since her highest recorded weight of 725 pounds. Undergoing bariatric surgery in July 2022 marked a turning point, helping her achieve her current weight.

Reflecting on her progress, Slaton shared that even small victories have felt monumental to her. Being able to walk unaided, without relying on a walker or wheelchair, and no longer needing oxygen assistance, even while sleeping, have been transformative milestones in her life

Slaton also revealed, “Then it was being able to fit in a regular vehicle, front seat, and then the belt buckle, and not have to use an extender now. So I mean, just what seems minor to some people is giant for me.”

In 2023, Slaton embraced accountability for her weight struggles, a shift that played a pivotal role in her progress. She acknowledged, “It’s my fault that I’m this size. I let it get out of control but I know that I can change. I have to.”

Now, her family and doctors are proud of her progress. Dr. Eric Smith, the medical director of the Kentucky Bariatric Institute, who has supported Slaton throughout her weight loss journey, expressed this pride.

Dr. Smith said while he’s proud of her weight-related achievements, he is most proud of the life-changing goals she’s reaching, such as living a healthier and happier life.
