Fans could not stop talking about the Hollywood stars’ twin girls after the family stepped out recently. Many pointed out how one daughter favors her mother while the other is the spitting image of her father.
Matthew Broderick and his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker, turned heads as they attended the “SMASH” opening night on Broadway. The star-studded event took place on April 10, 2025, at the Imperial Theatre in New York City.
Making the evening even more special, the couple was joined by their twin daughters, Tabitha and Marion Broderick, who made a rare public appearance alongside their famous parents.
Their appearance at the Broadway premiere wasn’t just a family moment — it was a fashion statement that drew attention as soon as they arrived.
Matthew looked sharp in a navy blue suit, pairing it with a crisp white shirt and a patterned tie that added a dash of color. Standing beside him, one of the twins wore a rich teal dress with a front cut-out, complemented by a powder blue coat that offered a pop of contrast.

Her sister chose a black lace dress with a sweetheart neckline, layered under a long cream-colored coat that gave her outfit a timeless flair. Parker, known for her impeccable sense of style, stepped out in a black ensemble with subtle embellishments, her sleek, golden hair parted down the middle.

Together, the family posed gracefully for photos. The twins’ rare appearance quickly stirred online buzz, with many fans commenting on how one daughter mirrors Matthew while the other bears a striking resemblance to Parker.

The comments section soon lit up with reactions as the photos made their way online. “One looks like dad, one looks like mum [sic],” observed one fan, capturing the consensus. Another agreed, adding that it’s “Cute,” while a third exclaimed, “They look like each parent WOW!!”
Praises poured in, with one fan marveling, “What a gorgeous family!” and another admiring, “Look at their beautiful daughters.” Others pointed out the twins’ unique features, with one noting, “So weird how they are twins but look nothing alike.”
That wasn’t the first time the twins had made headlines alongside their parents. In November 2022, Parker and Matthew walked the red carpet with Tabitha and Marion, marking another rare public appearance for the girls.

Just like their latest outing, that moment sparked another round of comparisons. Prevention magazine shared a snapshot of the trio on Facebook and captioned it, “They look just like their mom!”
But not everyone agreed. One user countered, “They look like their Dad!” Another followed with, “I see the father more.” Someone else weighed in with a different take, “Her son looks just like her; the girls look more like their dad.”

The conversation around the twins often brings up the rest of the close-knit family. Parker and Matthew are also parents to their eldest child, James Broderick, born in October 2002.

Years later, in April 2009, the couple announced they were preparing to welcome twin daughters via surrogacy. Just a month after the news broke, Parker opened up about the moment in an interview. She expressed:
“I’m excited. I’m in disbelief. I’m really grateful. I feel really fortunate. My son is so excited, my husband is so excited.”
That heartfelt moment shed light on Parker’s journey to expanding her family. She later shared more about her decision to pursue surrogacy, explaining that she and Matthew had spent years trying to have more children.

After considering several paths, they viewed surrogacy as a meaningful and promising option. “[…] This was one of the things we discussed with seriousness that had real possibilities for us,” she revealed.
Because surrogacy can be uncertain, Parker was asked if the road came with setbacks. She responded with honesty, “Yeah, I mean, I couldn’t pretend otherwise, adding:
“It would be a complicated – it would be odd to have made this choice if I was able to, you know, have successful pregnancies since my son’s birth.”

Her openness continued as she described how she felt upon hearing the news that she was expecting twins. “I mean, giggles!” Parker exclaimed, admitting the outcome caught her off guard. The veteran actress explained that she had tempered her hopes over time to shield herself from letdowns. While the thought of having one more child already felt like a gift, “two was a comedy!” she joked.

Marion and Tabitha arrived in June 2009, adding new joy to the family. Years later, Parker revealed that she occasionally forgets they are twins, simply because of how different they are. In a February 2018 interview, she explained:
“They have different interests. They’re really devoted to each other, but they’ll also say, ‘I need time away from her.'”
Their closeness has never meant being inseparable — something both Parker and Matthew have openly touched on.

Over time, it became clear that Tabitha enjoys quiet moments to herself, often spending hours alone, while Marion tends to check in now and then. At one point, they even went to different schools — a choice that, according to Parker, came from Tabitha’s own wish for independence.

Matthew offered a glimpse into their evolving dynamic during a June 2023 episode of “LIVE with Kelly and Mark.” The father of three explained that the girls originally planned to attend separate high schools but later opted to stick together starting in 2024. He said, “They’re extremely close, but they also definitely want their own space, and their own friends, and their own time.”
From their rare red carpet appearances to their distinct personalities, Marion and Tabitha continue to captivate the public while carving their paths. Parker and Matthew have embraced each step of their parenting journey with openness and humor, offering rare glimpses into their family life.
