Patriots coach Bill Belichick, 73, and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, 24, are not shy about making waves — whether that’s by posting mermaid-and-fisherman photos that show she’s a real “catch,” or causing a stir when Hudson recently shut down a question about how they met during Belichick’s CBS Sunday Morning interview promoting his book The Art of Winning: Lessons from a Life in Football,
The couple, who (for the record) met on a plane where they discussed philosophy, met in 2021 and have been public with their relationship since 2024 after dating for more than a year. Since then, Hudson has proudly proclaimed her love for the NFL legend, who now coaches at the University of North Carolina, celebrating their “meetiversary,” wearing his famous sweatshirts and serving as his “idea mill and muse,” according to the acknowledgements in his book.
And Belichick, known for being extremely press-shy and taciturn, has returned the favor by showing his affection for her on social media and beyond. “Bill doesn’t care about all the talk surrounding his and Jordon’s relationship,” the source tells PEOPLE. “He’s never been happier than he is with Jordon.”

Hudson interrupted Belichick’s CBS interview when interviewer Tony Dokoupil asked how the two met, and, CBS said, interjected several other times throughout. Belichick defended his girlfriend in a statement, saying he only wanted to talk about the book, so upon the personal line of questioning, “Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion.”

The couple met on a flight to Palm Beach, Belichick has said, and Hudson has the receipts: An inscribed book with his championships listed and his gratitude to her for the philosophical discussion.
