Hailey Bieber Shows Subtle Support for Selena Gomez After She Gets Engaged to Benny Blanco

Hailey Bieber is subtly showing Selena Gomez support.

The model and Rhode founder, 28, “liked” Gomez’s Wednesday, Dec. 11, Instagram post sharing the happy news of her engagement to music producer Benny Blanco.

In the photo carousel, the Emilia Pérez star, 32, included a close-up of her marquise diamond ring as well as a snap of her and Blanco, 36, embracing with the caption, “forever begins now..” She also shared a shot of the proposal setting, which included a beige picnic blanket and multiple boxes of Taco Bell, which is known to be a favorite of the singer’s.

Blanco commented on the post: “hey wait … that’s my wife.”

Gomez and Blanco had known each other for years, having collaborated on the 2019 single “I Can’t Get Enough” with Tainy and J Balvin before they started dating in June 2023.

In August 2023, Gomez released the Blanco-produced track “Single Soon.” In December 2023, she confirmed their relationship when she liked fan account posts on Instagram of the pair, even commenting, “He is my absolute everything in my heart,” on one. They made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Emmys in January.

In September 2022, Hailey addressed ongoing rumors of a feud between herself and Gomez during a conversation on Alex Cooper’s podcast. The model told Cooper that it is “not [her] character to mess with someone’s relationship,” and said that it’s “all love” between both her Gomez.

“I can say, period, point blank, I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody — that’s the end of it,” Hailey explained about the timeline of her relationship with now-husband Justin Bieber, 30.

Gomez and Justin started dating in late 2010, but split in 2016. The two reignited their romance in October 2017, but it was short-lived. In September 2018, Justin and Hailey got married at a civil ceremony in New York and a year later celebrated with a larger ceremony in Bluffton, S.C.

Weeks after her Call Her Daddy interview, Hailey and Gomez posed for photos together at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ 2nd annual gala in Los Angeles. The duo appeared to be on good terms. In one photo, Gomez could be seen with her hand on Bieber’s leg, and in another, they both smiled as they stood together.
